Giving Tuesday, Gatlinburg, and a free book

Hey, y’all. As you might have heard, the beautiful town of Gatlinburg, TN has been devastated by one of the wildfires burning in the Great Smoky Mountains. I’m heartbroken about this. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, but I traveled to Gatlinburg with my family as a child, and I’ve been there many times as an adult since I got married and moved to the Asheville area as a young woman. It’s more than just a tourist attraction. It’s a lovely, iconic place. It’s special to so many people, tourists and locals alike. My thoughts and my heart are with all those who have lost homes and businesses, and all the brave men and women fighting the fires right now.

There’s not much I can do, other than donate my little bits of money, clothes, food, and water. But right now, since Gatlinburg is on my mind and since today is Giving Tuesday, I want to give away a copy of my novel The Mountain, because it’s set in Gatlinburg, and I’m hoping that this will make at least a few people think about this beautiful town, and maybe inspire them to help support the people of the town and the firefighters working to save lives there.

If you want to be entered into the drawing, email me at ally AT allyblue DOT com (I’m sure you know how to format that for email). I’ll draw a winner of an electronic book copy tomorrow night, 11/30/16. Thank you!
